Lets get started for the new year! here are some new mentalities i will be taking on:

#1 To each, his own reality.

This is not profound. U see wars going on all the time. Gaza people attacking Israeli's and vice versa. All because of a fundamental difference in thinking. If everyone can be the same, and forgive each other, wont that be good? sure. But they stayed to their own perception of reality. Its so ironic that a simple principle called forgiveness is hard to understand. well if u ever tried to change someone or the like, you notice others wont change also. So lets not try to upset each other and respect each other's mindsets, unless they really want change.

#2. resist conformity;Group conformity is the most poisonous of all!

Dont be a mindless robot, incapable of resisting mainstream hypnotism.dont be rigid. be creative. Dare to be different. Let others laugh at you. For they are just part of the crowd who does not dare to be outstanding, and sees you as a freak. Live by your own realities, and not that of the programmable robots u see beside you. Others will gradually find that you are some cool, ambitious being.

#3. See things in big picture.

Following the crowd narrows ur worldview, see things in a big picture, like wat i always emphasize on, and u can see more possibilities than ur narrowminded counterparts. Thats all. You can choose to take on my mentalities as well, but if u feel that it is too extreme, u can choose not to. For i do not force my reality and yours, and we keep our distance in not crossing over each other's mentalities.

Enough of THE WHINING on EDUCATIONAL STUFF and how to handle failure.

here is a new chapter to my life. The life that anyone can MAKE THINGS HAPPEN BY THEIR OWN WILL,regardless of naysaying and all etc.

The goal and objective here is to be different from everyone else. Pick up hobbies and interests that may benefit pple ard you, at the same time not so mainstream,
activities like doing MAGIC tricks, playing in bands, which is not so popular here, but serves to entertain pple.Or u cna still be a mainstream lawyer/counsellor/policeman/teacher etc government conformist jobs, just make sure u do not have the typical mainstream image of those occupations i just listed. That sets u apart from the rest.

It all happened in my current 2008 holidays, a 1 and a half month break from poly in 2nd year. I've met new frens who share same interests as me, guitars/magic etc. Been asked to meet up and jam, perform gigs, and even old frens began building rapport with me once more, just to learn guitar, and reminisce the old fun times.

Performed magic with a fellow buddy and magician, in orchard road. Practised opening sets, or in other words, groups of random strangers, utilising magic tricks, and casual convo. THINGS AS HUMANS THAT WE DONT NORMALLY LEARN IN SCHOOL.iT KINDA was like me and my buddy magician fren opened up a long lost secret on how to make more friends, when all the friendship in school seems so bleak, that we're gonna run out of frens, and here in orchard road and in the general public, we are making our friends right here.

Sigh, singaporeans, forever too busy with work, never bothered to maintain eye contact with each other, even on a leisure stroll down orchard road. Not even a smile that makes our day.

Good thing i met pickup artists in the hiolidays as well. I decided to learn some of these stuff so that i dont have to fear not having a lifelong companion to be with.
sounds strange. haha i know. But i am not going to target a girl for the sole purpose of sex, like most PUA (pickup artists) do. AT a social stage now, i have only figured out the ART OF MAKING FRENS, not pickup girls as yet.
here are some of my TIPS on making frens in public.

#1.be an outstanding conversationlist. fire up ur mind, think of things that u can entertain people with, etc magic tricks, crapping ard etc. open them up.

#2. Treat random strangers a simple drink. NO one will reject this.nO one will NOT want to reject feeling like an unexpected VIP.do it like a hidden camera reality show style.
(i once hung out with a card flourishing [manipulation] friend at the arcade.
he had 3 tokens left and could not decide on what machine to plonk the coins in to play the games there. He gave up, and just chucked the tokens into the palms of one of the 2 girls standing behind us. The one that received the token was shocked and surprised at the same time. U should have seen the unexpected joyous facial expression of hers! damn cute.haha)

#3. After all the fun, intro ur name.never intro ur name at the start, unless its ur fren's fren. doing that to strangers at first approac makes u look like a kid whon thinks he /she is so popular , that pple should know u. Thats a smart alec move, and its unwelcomed.

#4. Once they get to know you, talk about interests, mundane things (universal topics that all people can relate to). however, dont talk too much on any topic alone, it can be boring to you or them after some time. Behave like a computer, processing multipile threads of convo at the same time. shoot different topics.
(i've always started out being too interviewer. i kept asking my new frens about his/her interest, while i nod and "yes,so what else do u do etc??where u stay etc??"
at one side. Honestly, getting mundane info from someone in a whole convo isnt entertaining.)

#5. Say something intersting abt urself. I;ve met pple who just couldnt say anything interesting about their lives, If ur one of those, its alright, maybe keep a diary, and who knows, u may even have a day where something funny happens to you! if not, well, u can learn to be like me, who tries to relax and just come out with any crap that comes into ur mind. toss ur convo around with fun topics after the initial stage of convo (interests, mundane life topics).

#6.exchanging phone numbers among same sex interaction is always smooth, but in the opposite sex, as i've noticed, usually girls will give guys their msn / emails. never their phone on the first meet. learn to respect that. they'll give phone numbers once they are comfortable with a guy. (girls...socially calibrated creatures!!haha).

thats all for now. enjoy the flashy videos below.-yan chen (chatartist).

    RACIST JOKES!!!!

OK guys pls do not beat me up.Take it as general entertainment. Some of the jokes i heard. And the last joke is generally not recommended unless u wanna condemn someone from any race.here we go.

#1 On board an open air bus... was seated four guys.An american, chinese, indian and malay.

The american was smoking a cigar.within a puff he threw the whole thing away.Chinese guy being curious :"why the heck did u do that?waste of ur money!"
American guy :"c'mon man!! Cigars can be found anywhere, anycorner at affordable prices in America!whats more there is so much..not a waste anyway.."

Malay guy eating satay stick, ate a satay and threw half of the first satay out of the window.Chinese guy :"hey!!! waste of food!!"Malay guy :"ABang...satay anywhere also sell sial...so cheap some more.DIAM LA!!"

chinese guy though for a while...and threw the indian man out of the window!!!

    * ps i also modified this joke of throwing a china dude outta the window. As china got too many pple. ok pls dont beat me up.cos i didnt make it up.

    #2 dayong sampan.

In teh beginning God created man.He made one man and decided to play with his brain configuration. He made a whole brain and put him in a boat, and onto a river. the man began to sing "row row row the boat..gently down the stream..!!"
God thought :not bad not bad...now lets try half the brain..
    MAn :"row....row...row..the...boat..gently down...the stream.."
God thought :good good.try with nothing in his head.
YOU guessed it .the MAN went"DAYONG SAMPAN!!!!DAYONG DAYONG SAMPAN!!!...."

Enjoy this video of staind's "its been awhile". Again i have been too busy doing my projects and all....its taken it stoll on me and again i have stood strong!!
well actually i was feeling kinda depressed cos i felt i have no sense of achievement doing anything at all...ok..anything that involves tests and exams.I understand life is about lifelong learning and not tests or exams that brands u an "A" or "F' which makes u feel so damn miserable. have been through a major academic failure once and since then i have not been looking forward to seeing any test or exam results, regardless of a pass or fail.

People are usually happy when they pass a subject right? Not with me in this case. we undo what we learn once we have passed and move on to the next semester.Major waste of life.Hence a good pass can go back to square one..even if u are a top student.Cos at the end of the day you will be forgetting what you learnt.I dont come to school just to get a scrap piece of paper that certifies me in what i will undo all my time learning. No thanks.=>
